PALMA DE MALLORCA

Palma de Mallorca is a city located next to the Bay of Mallorca on Mallorca's South-West Coast, the capital in the Balearic region. The city has a population of 358.500 and an area of 21.355.844 acres. Palma's biggest industry is tourism. Palma's history as a city dates back to the Roman era when a fortified city was constructed east of the river. During the Moorish era the whole island was under Arabic influence and the city was then known as Medina Majorca.
